| The only Slovak christian radio station - Radio Lumen |
|
| |
| Similar to light which provides guidance in space, Radio Lumen provides guidance in various domains of life: |
- Guidance in the mess of opinions and ways of thinking - not only by means of religious programmes, but mainly by offering wide field for discussion, especially in the evening hours.
- Guidance within society we are living in - not only by objective political, sports and cultural news service, but also by regular opinion polls, journalistic programmes and interviews with proffesionals.
- Guidance in music - not only because 2/3 of broadcast time is composed of music of high quality from 60s - 80s, but also provided the fact it offers an overview of so-called minority genres: classical music, folk music or folklore and the only Slovak gospel chart.

| Evangelization |
- Evangelization character means our focus is not only on "the faithful christians", but in the first place we want to address so-called occasional, not-practising christians who are at least slightly open to spiritual values. Our mission is to offer the values which are brought to us through Jesus Christ´s Gospel. Programmes with religious contents represent 15.2% of programme broadcast schedule of Radio Lumen.

| Music |
- Music choice is based upon music from 60s - 80s. Popular music from this period is for the middle age generation not only well known, but also soothing. It makes them feel safe, it reminds them their beautiful young age and it doesn´t disturb them in their everyday problems. Top played groups and singers are: Marika Gombitová, Dire Straits, Pavol Hammel, Queen, Miro ®birka, Abba, Elán, Helena Vondráčková, Team, The Beatles, Karel Gott and others.
|
| News service |
- Religious natureis reflected also in News service. Our priority is to provide information regarding life of the Church on Slovakia, but on the other hand we are open towards all christian communities. We try to render this ecumenical approach to the public life, too. Attempts to be objective result to an openness to all parties and movements, to opposition as well as coalition, to both bad and good news.
